New Year, New Decade, Newcastle!
.Other things going on here at Hotel Indigo in the quieter month of January:
Thursday 16th January is officially known as ‘Get to know your customer’ day; this is something we will be taking part in by meeting and greeting our valued guests and trying to understand more about why they have chosen Hotel Indigo for their trip to Newcastle.
Let us know if you have stayed at Hotel Indigo before and what you thought and why you chose it; your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Monday 20th January is officially known as ‘Blue Monday’ which is meant to be the most depressing day of the year. That won’t be happening on our watch as we turn those frowns upside down by offering canapes and cocktails on a busy Monday evening. This is available for guests checking into the hotel free of charge from 4:30pm… once they are gone, they’re gone!
Saturday 25th January is Chinese New Year; we will have a special dish on the menu designed by our Head Chef Norman in celebration of this.
2020 is a year of new beginnings for the Chinese dog zodiac sign. The year of the rat forecasts suggest that your flexible and open mind will make your life much easier. Good luck and prosperity will follow you in your job. Keep a lookout for opportunities and make the most out of it.
The reason the new year falls at this time is because it marks the start of the lunar new year, which is when there is the start of a new moon. This is different to the ‘Gregorian’ calendar that we traditionally use in the UK.
